Since we announced the partnership program, we have started several partnerships for specialized and local open innovation projects. One of the more interesting is our partnership with Igor Semanou on openinnovation.bj – the first open innovation platform in Benin.
Igor was one of the first to contact us asking us to use OPEN OS in bringing open innovation to Benin. We were super happy to do it. We launched openinnovation.bj this autumn and have been preparing for the first pitches since.
Partnering with Igor was a great opportunity for us. He is an innovation leader and author well established in Benin. His career includes leading La Maison des Startups, a project dedicated to Benin entrepreneurship development, and management of Academy for Women Entrepreneurs. He is also the author of Anyone Can Innovate book and a winner of several prizes, including 1st Prize for West Africa – Innovation in Justice.
openinnovation.bj is a great example of how OPEN OS partnership can easily bring open innovation to every part of the world, allowing local businesses and customers to accelerate their innovation together. Open innovation can play a leading role in innovation development in locations where high tech budgets are limited. We hope that openinnovation.bj will play a role in making Benin into a local innovation leader.
